It’s High Time I Chromed the F*** Up!
Chooms! Our Cyberpunk: Edgerunners review is here! This hot new anime focuses on the main character David and his journey of making it to the top of Arasaka Tower, just like his mom had hoped for.

Set one year before the events of CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners focuses on the street kid David Martinez living in a cruel, high-tech focused, world where if you want to make a name for yourself, you go out with a bang or fade away. With little options left after going through a major life changing event, David chooses to become a cyberpunk by joining a group of edgerunners led by a man named Maine. The story is fast paced and in your face. It does not slow down from beginning to end, almost forcing you to take a literal breather before starting the next episode. Unless you're an adrenaline junkie, that is!
The animation is done by Studio Trigger. You might recognize their work in Star Wars: Visions episodes 3 and 7, titled The Twins and The Elder, respectively. While they did a great job with the Star Wars franchise, Tigger went all in with Edgerunners. The first five minutes set the tone and violence of the show while the last five minutes will make you realize why you’ll remember it for a while.

It is one of the most entertaining pieces of media I’ve enjoyed in recent memory. If you have any interest in Cyberpunk 2077 or the Cyberpunk genre in general, then give this anime a shot. It is well worth it! It not only does the game justice, but also elevates it. 10/10, no doubt in my mind.
